CONTROLS
Dpad - Move character 8 directions
2 - Jump
Fire - Hand-to-hand Attack
* - Toggle Chat mode
1,3 - Inventory Left ? Right
4,5 - Add Gold ? Subtract gold
7 - Show Character statistics
9 - Drop Item
9 (at character) - Deposit Item for Secure Trade
9 (at bank) - Deposit Items / Withdraw items from the bank
(note: the bank will have a sign out the front, you may need to walk to a various wall in the bank until 9 will work!)
Pause Menu - Character Screen - displays character details
Log Off ? Save character to resume at this location
Options ? Change graphic / performance options
CHAT CONTROLS
Pressing # brings you into chat mode. A small cursor will flash above the panel at the bottom of the screen. Normal controls will stop, and the keys become as follows:
1-9 - Cycle abc text.
0 - Space
Left - Back Space
* - Accept text/Send (Exit Chat mode)
MENUS AND LOGGING IN
The menu is navigated with the dpad to move the selector up and down, highlighting an option. Pressing fire or # will select the option.
To get into the game, select login from the main menu. The next screen shows a default login name of newuser with a password of newuser. By using the dpad up and down, select to change the login name by pressing # . Use the keypad to enter new text in ABC cycle style. When the login name field is complete, press # or fire to accept.
Once you have set your user name and password, select accept and you will attempt to log in.
Your phone will create a gprs tcp/ip data connection to the server. This may take several seconds and your phone may prompt you to select an internet profile or access point along the way.
Upon a successful login, you will be brought to the character selection screen.
If it is the first time you have entered this login, you will have a new account and can name your 3 characters. This account is then restored when you use the same login name and password.
Use the dpad to browse for a character and fire or # to select and nae them. You may only name characters once!
STATISTICS
Your vital statistics are located on the left hand side of the panel, in 4 coloured bars.
HEALTH BAR (red)
this is your health, when it gets to the bottom, you fall and are re-spawned
MANA BAR (blue)
this is you magic power, when it gets to the bottom you can not do some forms of magic.
STRENGTH BAR (green)
This is your strength and damage. The higher this bar is, the more damage you will deal in combat.
SPEED BAR (yellow)
This bar shows how fast and dexterous your character is when running and fighting.
INVENTORY
Your inventory items are displayed in a brown panel, next to your vital stats, at the bottom of the screen. A gold box shows the selected item. Pressing the number keys 1 and 3 will rotate through any inventory display. If the space is empty, it is the location an item will be when it is picked up. To pick up an item, simply walk over it and stop.
LOGGING ON AND OFF
When a player logs off, they camp on the very spot until next time. To log off, press the soft key. From the in game pause menu select log off, your character will be as you left it when you next return.
FIGHTING!
In order to fight with a character, press the FIRE key (sometimes 5 also). This will start the character attacking. When you move into close range of another creature, you will start to hit the creature. When holding FIRE, movement is slowed a health bar is displayed above the character(s) that are fighting.
USING MAGIC!
A magic potion can be consumed by simply pressing the 0 key when a potion is selected (with keys 1 and 3) in the inventory panel at the bottom of the screen. To use most wands and scrolls, the character is usually required to have mana. The players mana depletes as the magic item is used.
EXPERIENCE AND LEVELS
Every time a character kills another character, they are awarded experience points. When 100 experience points are accumulated, the player will go up in a level of experience and have white flashes on them. In the panel, the + sign is moved onto the appropriate statistic and the select key is pressed. This will add points to the statistic. As levels are gained, characters will be become faster, stronger and have more magic. This will allow players and their friends to defeat stronger enemies and wear more rare and powerful items.
When a character is new, they are like a baby in the wide world of Quotasia, with only a low level of experience. This means they are weak and slow and struggle with magic. It is your job to find items and slowly kill flies and fairies and small spiders in order to gain experience. Eventually players can level up until they can defeat an elder troll boss!
The characters experience and other statistics can be viewed in more detail on the character screen. This screen is accessed by pressing the soft key and selecting thew Character menu option.

As well as battling NPC monsters, players will need to work co-operatively with friendly online players to tackle the largest monsters that lurk in the depths of dungeons and in the deep corners of the magical forests.
